Little David...

I took this picture of Kason before church on Sunday morning. We can't decide if he is a future graduate of the University of Virginia or got his style from his good buddy David Moore...our bet is on David...

Other stuff...

We are looking forward to a visit from Mom and Dad next week. Daddy is really looking forward to seeing some baseball. I hope the Cavaliers can pull off a few wins for him! The season got off to a great start going 11-0 until a couple of losses down at NC State this past weekend. Their record as of today is 13-2 and they will play Duke in Chapel Hill this weekend. Go Hoos!

Kason is becoming a better baseball fan. He really wasn't too fond of the games at the start of the season, but I think it had more to do with the fact that he was so bundled up he couldn't move! We went to a couple of mid week games this week. He did much better in the warmer weather. He still LOVES his time at school. He just looks the other way when I get there to pick him up in the afternoon. I guess he thinks if we don't make eye contact, I won't take him home. He is sitting up completely on his own and wearing out his toys (especially his new house that David and Karen sent him). He is finally growing into some bigger clothes. He weighed almost 14 1/2 lbs. at his 6 month visit. He is loving "real" food. His favorite phrase is "Hey Da da da..." Although we would like to think that he knows what he is saying, it is still questionable - even if he does start doing it every time Karl walks in the room. No, there is no sign of anything that sounds like "ma."

DuPont

Most of you know that DuPont was diagnosed with a pretty significant heart murmur a few weeks before Kason was born. He has done really well with it and we have been able to keep it under control with medication. Unfortunately things started to go downhill on Friday night. After a long and tough weekend, DuPont died on Sunday morning, March 9th. Karl was in NC for the first weekend of conference play. Luckily Mariah was here with me. Her visit was a real blessing. Also, Kason slept very late on Sunday morning and I was able to devote all of my attention to DuPont and be with him until the very end. We miss him so much, but are so thankful that his passing was fairly quick and I didn't have to make any decisions about his fate. I thank God for allowing me the time and support that I would need to see DuPont off.

Kason and DuPont paid each other very little attention until the past week or so. I took this picture with my phone last week as they were looking each other over. Sometimes DuPont would lick Kason's face all over and Kason would just scream at him. There was no love lost between the two of them, that's for sure!! I have added a little video of the face-licking!

Mariah's Visit

Mariah came to visit this past weekend, March 7th -11th. It was kind of a surprise visit. We had started planning it a while back and it didn't work out, but then at the last minute she was able to get a plane ticket and come! We had a great time. I think she is Kason's new favorite person:)
Also, thanks to Lindsey and Uncle Jeremy for Kason's shirt!
